Dear Collegues

Cardiac surgery is a fastly changing field of specialized medicine exposing high challenges in training and innovation activity. The 11th conference of the BSA will address this field of translational medicine focussing a fresh view of young "wild" cardiac surgeons and interventionalists. Young investigators are invited to present their work and ideas in the fields of operative and interventional techniques, imaging and diagnostics, new technologies, or basic research. The best work will be highlighted during the meeting and allow open and creative discussions with the scientific board members selected to present supportive training/conceptional lectures.

The meeting is held this year again in the stimulating environment of Heiligendamm directly located at the baltic coast. The symposium is intended as a small but high-end meeting to discuss new and interdisciplinary developments in cardiac surgery with young surgeons.
